Tulsa school board President Lana Turner-Addison is among five school board members from across the state named to the Oklahoma State School Boards Association’s 2016 All-State School Board.

The NTEDi, North Tulsa Economic Development Initiative, organization gathered to hand out school supplies to assist students that are participating in virtual and distance learning this school year.
This was done by a drive-thru event to help keep volunteers and participants safe.
"We have modified this year's event to be a drive-thru event to minimize contact and make this a safe event as far as social distancing," said Dr. Lana Turner-Addison, president of the North Tulsa Economic Development Initiative. "This North Tulsa tradition may look a little different, but it's still a great opportunity for parents, teachers and the community to become engaged in the education of our children. We look forward to helping our students and families prepare for the 2020-21 school year, as many will start the year with virtual or Distance Learning."

Dr. Lana Turner-Addison, served as the Tulsa Public School District 3 Board Member for 12 years (2005-2017) and served as the President for two terms. She is committed to continuing her work to support Tulsa Public Schools, to bring about equity in education for all students. Dr. Turner-Addison is a very motivated, dedicated and passionate community advocate, educator and volunteer who focuses on obtaining results that will benefit families and the community of Tulsa.
