Dr. Lana Turner-Addison, served as the Tulsa Public School District 3 Board Member for 12 years (2005-2017) and served as the President for two terms. She is committed to continuing her work to support Tulsa Public Schools, to bring about equity in education for all students. Dr. Turner-Addison is a very motivated, dedicated and passionate community advocate, educator and volunteer who focuses on obtaining results that will benefit families and the community of Tulsa.

She has proven experience in designing and implementing programs, policies and practices to ensure smooth operations of an organization. Dr. Turner-Addison has exceptional understanding of how to work with and provide appropriate information to board of directors, commissions and committee groups. She has a strong ability to identify and prioritize issues, an effective communicator with both internal and external audiences. She has the ability to analyze various viewpoints and mediate concerns (individual, public, political, employer, and employees); thereby arriving at recommendations that are acceptable by parties impacted.
What more can we share about Dr. Turner-Addison; she has analytical expertise and proven
experience with preparation of financials and budgets. She is a hard worker, fast
learner and a team player who directly contributes to the day to day operations
of an organization, while effectively managing staff and/or volunteers to
achieve goals, through fostering a relationship of high expectations, trust and
respect. She is also knowledgeable about governance of City municipality,
educational institutions and nonprofit agencies. Her expertise expands to having expertise in the area of business development, fair housing, disability, public relations and program
management. She has proven leadership, policy advocacy and public
speaking experience. My objectives are focused on
supporting the well-being of others and the community of Oklahoma and abroad.
